Saturday October 17: Voting day! 8am to 8pm. The Phoenix will have live coverage of the municipal election.
Also on Saturday, October 17: Paddle with the witches! This is an annual fundraiser for the Peachland Food Bank. Show up in costume at 2pm for a group photo, then head for a paddle or a dip (if the weather allows) – or just enjoy some hot cocoa and cookies (by donation). The Food Bank’s van will be on site for donations. I’m told they especially need ketchup and soy sauce!

Sunday, October 18: The Peachland Wellness Centre is hosting another Jerry Dober breakfast at the community centre. 8am-11am & $12 gets you a hearty, hot breakfast of eggs, sausage / bacon wedge fries, pancakes and more!

Monday, October 19: Stage 2 voting begins for the Chamber of Commerce‘s Business Excellence Awards.
Also on Monday the 19th, The Peachland Wellness Centre is celebrating its 25th birthday!

Wednesday, October 21: The election fun isn’t done yet. We still have to vote for an MLA in our West Kelowna-Peachland riding and the three candidates will be an an informal meet and greet at The Cove Lakeside Resort in West Kelowna from 4-6pm.

Also on Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25: The Peachland Lions are thinking ahead to the holiday season and hosting a sale to help families displaced by this summer’s Bald Range Wildfire. The sale of donated items will be 1-5pm on Saturday the 24th and 9am-4pm on the 25th. There will be live music, photo opportunities and food!
Due to overwhelming support from the community, donations are no longer being accepted.
