If you see scarecrows…

…It must be Fall! And thanks to local businesses, volunteer groups – and the Fall Fair, these creations are now gracing Beach Ave.

“Our contributors were able to express themselves in many ways,” says Fall Fair vice president Daniela Evans.

It’s been a few years since Peachland had an official Scarecrow Festival – so she was really encouraged by the scarecrow contest held during the Sept 6 and 7 Fall Fair. More than 140 people cast votes for their favourite creations, which added to the weekend’s atmosphere. Now, the creations can be found on Beach Ave.

Here’s the contest winner – Porto Peach Restaurant. Her name is Isla!

In second place was Peachland Dental’s pumpkin head. And voted Funniest was Jac’s on the Beach!

And most creative? That went to BEEPS:

And an honourable mention to the PCC Mural Society:

Evans said the scarecrow contest will definitely be part of next year’s Fall Fair. If you’d like to volunteer for 2027, send them an email – or show up at their next meeting September 17, 7pm at the community centre.
