Get your zucchinis ready to race at the Peachland Fall Fair!

It brought a lot of smiles and laughter last year. So, zucchini racing is definitely back for this year’s Peachland Fall Fair.

The super-popular part of the 2025 fair was racing these garden gourds down a racetrack. Who knew it would be so fun!

This year, a workshop for aspiring young racers is planned. Show up on Saturday, September 12 from 2-4 pm and until supplies last, your child can get their free racing vessel – a zucchini, courtesy of Paynter’s Market. You can doll it up and get it race-ready right there, or bring your own zuke on Sunday, Sept 13. Check-in for all racers is 10am – noon and the race starts at 2pm.

How to enter? $2 covers your race spot and you’ll get a set of wheels to make your zucchini go! You can register here. Or find Fall Fair volunteers at the Sunday farmers markets at Heritage Park. (They’re also selling raffle tickets with a $500 cash prize!)

There’s some fun new race categories – any age can enter, you can enter as a family and there’s award for fastest car, best in show and more! This year’s race is once again, sponsored by Kelowna Truck and RV.

The full set of rules and FAQs are on the Fall Fair website.

In 2025 and 2026, The Peachland Fall Fair = a Peachland Phoenix sponsor. In exchange for advertising that directly supports local journalism, the Phoenix writes a series of Fall Fair stories, covers both days of the event and provides additional photos for volunteers to use in future promotions. The Fall Fair’s display advertising appeared on the Home page, events page and advertising page for 2025 + 2026 email newsletters. The Phoenix thanks the Peachland Fall Fair for their support of our town’s only source of journalism!
