It’s a win-win! Peachland groups get gift cards for clients from the Chamber of Commerce

Peachland’s food bank and wellness centre clients will be getting something a little extra – gift certificates to local businesses like Bliss bakery, Ace Hardware, Cibo and Vines, the Blind Angler, Deja Vue and more!

The Chamber’s Patrick Van Minsel, Judy Bedford and George McFarlane of the Peachland Food Bank, Kym Martin and Christina MacMaster of the Peachland Wellness Centre and Peachland Chamber of Commerce president Greg Sewell outside the Chamber building downtown March 1.

It’s all part of an effort by Chamber of Commerce groups throughout the valley to get people to support local businesses. Our Peachland Chamber of Commerce received $3,000 and they decided on a win-win situation: Buy a bunch of gift cards to local businesses, and split them up between two great groups – the Peachland Food Bank and the Peachland Wellness Centre!

“It’s a real treat,” says Judy Bedford. She runs the Peachland Food Bank and is excited to give something a little extra to their clients.

Same with Christina MacMaster.

“Our services department has a lot of individuals who are low or fixed income and each one will get a gift certificate,” she says.

Stay tuned for more on this OK We’ve Got This campaign. It’s all about supporting local!

“We want to give back to the community,” says Patrick Van Minsel, of the Peachland Chamber of Commerce.
