Election ’22

The election is over and we have a new mayor and council – but you can still read what they had to say while they were campaigning for your vote! ⬇️

The Phoenix is the only outlet in town who covered this election like a resident. I’ve asked questions sent from subscribers, each candidate has their own page for announcements, I met them in person, live-typed the candidates forum and on Friday, I asked each candidate to share how they’re doing. Scroll down for all the links.

I was at the community centre after polls closed October 15, awaiting results. Here’s my live coverage and my story on the results.

Want to catch up on council – related news? After every meeting, I get to work and Phoenix subscribers have all the details in the morning! You can subscribe here.

Only one sitting councillor (Pete Coolio) isn’t running in this October 15 election. As Peachland’s only local and independent news source who works into the night – subscribers know the Phoenix is the place to check for the very latest on Election ’22. You can subscribe here.

Rainer did not reply to five emails over the past few weeks re opportunities for candidates to get the word out on this site. He did send answers to subscriber’s questions. UPDATE – I approached Rainer at the all-candidates forum. The email address he provided isn’t working. So I let him know again about what I’m doing and he seemed receptive. Will update with an interview, perhaps.
