Peachland on Canada Day…

Yes, a different Canada Day: I went downtown & found many wearing orange shirts. I also spotted many Peachland volunteers dealing with this heat because they want to do nice things for our town 🍁🧡

50+ Centre volunteers Valerie MacGillivray (left) & Gwen Bodnarek were just cleaning up after a successful pancake breakfast – held indoors, of course!

also to our Town Crier, R Bruce Klippenstein, who was in front of the 50+ Centre welcoming people for more than three hours! (Thnx LindaLea for the photo)

Peachland Arts Council volunteers were helping a whole bunch of kids paint Tshirts…

Kym Martin (in red) and Karen Read donated enough $ to provide a free picnic to 60 people who registered for lunch!
“We started around 10 am,” says the PWC’s Christina MacMaster (on the right). Ten loaves of bread, and a ton of cooked chicken, eggs and salad fixings were prepped in the PWC kitchen. The bags were then delivered all over Peachland.
