Looks like another movie will be filmed here in Peachland..
Just got a press release – I’ll just copy and paste it here for you:
Studio 104 Entertainment Inc will be in Peachland for a movie shoot next week. The movie is a coming of age story of a young indigenous girl who moves to small town Peachland, BC and goes on an adventure to look for the sacred spirit of the lake (known to us as Ogopogo but to the Indigenous community it is known as N’xaxaitkw – Na-ha-ha-it-ku). It is a small film crew. Community impacts/movie shoot locations are as follows:
June 24-25 – Inglis Place (private residence)
June 24 – 14th Street dock
June 24 – Frontage of District office and back staff parking lot
June 25 – Dock adjacent 4050 Beach Avenue
June 26-27 – Dock location to be determined – this is an overnight shoot (2 nights)
June 24-26 – Portable washroom located 4080 Beach Avenue for the film crews
The film crew is responsible for neighbour notification. The District will post signage for parking/dock and sidewalk closures. As the movie is set in the 1980s, residents are asked to keep newer model cars away from the site locations. The site locations will have a truck, motorhome and tents for holding talent and crew.
