Letter to the Editor: Sell that washroom and spend money on Princeton instead

I read this week the UGLY washroom at Heritage Park that cost $100,000 will remain and an additional $40,000 will be spent to add stairs. This is an insult to Peachland. I would like to know who on council voted to save this monstrosity, which is the first thing seen as you enter Peachland from the south. What a colossal waste of funds that might have been better spent on Princeton, where mothers have been seen pushing baby carriages down the road on dangerous corners where there is no other place to walk.

A better option would be to sell the structure and install a crosswalk light similar to that at Beach Ave and 6th St. to satisfy Interior health concerns of children crossing beach ave to access the washroom already existing.

The offending structure will remain there indefinitely unless something is done NOW before more money is spent
